Flight 15 · double catch
- Catch Super Heavy with the tower arms (last caught on Flight 8, March 2025)
- First-ever attempt to catch the Starship upper stage on its return to Starbase
- Booster 22 and Ship 42 finished their static fires in late October
- FAA license expected to cover return-to-launch-site and tower catch for both stages
- Opens the door to the first reflight of a recovered ship
First orbit, first real payload
On September 28, 2026, Ship 41 reached orbit for the first time and released all 26 Starlink V3 satellites of Group 31-1, three of them carrying cameras to inspect the heat shield. One ship engine shut down early and the six planned orbits were not completed.
